Announcements:

Building Plans:  If you are planning to build on your property, please provide the Board with a copy of the plans. This is necessary to ensure compliance with deed restrictions such as setbacks and construction limitations.  We will do all possible to ensure your request is acted on promptly.

New Buda Firestation: The new fire-station on Highway 967 next to Dahlstrom Junior High School will open about March 1, 2008.  This station, manned by the Buda Volunteer Fire Department, will service our area at no charge.  This may have an impact on your home insurance, so check with your insurance company.

Home Owner Association Dues:  Homeowners who are delinquent with their annual dues may find a lien posted against the property.  Contact the board if you have questions.  See the deed restrictions to learn more about this.

Dues, as originally stated in the deed restrictions, were $4.00 per acre or part thereof. In accordance with paragraph 22 of the deed restrictions, the Board increased the dues to $14 per acre or part thereof on 17 October 1997.  The dues were reduced to $10.00 per acre or part thereof by Board action on 11 March 1998.  The dues have remained unchanged at $10.00 per acre or part thereof since then.  Dues for 2007 were waived for all Homeowners.

If you have questions about dues, please contact the board and we are more than happy to work with you.  If you see violations of the deed restrictions, please contact the board so appropriate action can be taken.  If you believe the deed restrictions ought to be changed, bring those ideas to the board as well, as we can vote on them at the annual homeowners meeting.

FEMA Flood Maps:  The FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps are now available for Hays Country Oaks 2.  We have posted the segment of the map that covers our area as well as a document to explain how to read them.  Note: these are NOT the 100 year flood plain maps you may be used to.  We are continuing to research available documents and will post them as we locate them.  If you know of any that may be of use, please let the Board know.

R/Vs and Campers:  The deed restrictions we all live with here restrict the use of an RV or camper as temporary quarters on your property to less than 30 days.  Please re-read your deed restriction for specifics.  NOTE: a copy is available for download from this website.

Weather Data:  The weather data you see on this page and that to which you can link from this page are from a live weather station here in Hays Country Oaks 2.  We also have historical rain data for the area.  If you have questions, please contact Don Inbody via the board e-mail address.

Animal Restrictions:  Were you aware that there are restrictions as to the number of certain types of animals homeowners are permitted to have on their property in Hays Country Oaks 2?  Please read your deed restrictions.  If you have questions, please contact your board members.
